b minor

it’s late. he’s been staring at his screen for the past 2 hours, surfing, seeing but not really looking. he felt like he wanted to buy something, but once he actually started browsing, it was too hard to find the outfit he’d envisioned in his head.

she’d been half-heartedly listening to youtube videos as they rolled on and on. with only one earphone she’d not really taken anything in.

finally she started playing music. she played the music she loved from a few years ago. he knew that this was the turning point. this music could make him feel some way that he just couldn’t describe. there was sadness, beauty, youth, and simpleness intermixed with chaotic emotions.

for a split second, i was in love. then a moment later, the feeling vanished.
